Great Product!

This product is PERFECT for your pet on those chilly nights. We have 2 boxers that sleep in separate beds and they used to sleep in tight little balls but now they lie sprawled out from one end of the beds to the other!

The warmer doesn’t get too hot (which is good) so you have to place it under a slender piece of material or it doesn’t work very well. For example, one of our beds is a normal egg shell with a fabric cover and we have the warmer inside of a pillowcase and zipped up between the fabric and egg shell and it works great. On the other bed, it has a thick pillow as a base so we had to put the warmer on top of the pillow and then cover it with a blanket; otherwise, with the warmer under the pillow the top of the pillow never got warm. The key thing to remember is that these are WARMERS so they don’t feel warm enough to a person but they get PLENTY warm for a pet.

Fantastic and so useful….doesn’t overheat my dogs at night for a 10-hour sleep…stays a warm and cozy temp without killing my electric bill. This is the one you want because it gives you peace of mind regarding your dog’s comfort. They love it because it softens their old muscles and tired, cold bodies. They don’t run out of the cage in the morning anymore…they just stare at me with the expression “Are you kidding me? I’m not going anywhere if the plans don’t include this doggie heating pad.”

When I bought the original pet bed the heater went out 2 times so I bought this to replace it. So far so good. And I can’t keep our 2 mini doxies and 2 bangle kittes out of it!

Cool Idea

We have two large pet beds for my 75 lb. dalmation and 120 lb. lab. My dogs love them! They stay fairly clean because the dirt/dust sifts right through the loose weave in the fabric which also allows the air to circulate and the dogs stay cooler. I keep them on my carport and when it rains and the water runs in on the concrete floor, the raised bed and dogs stay dry and comfortable. I have just adopted a new stray mother dog and plan to keep her and one of her pups. I ordered 2 additional Coolaroos for them today. A great product – wish I’d thought of it first!

One of our dogs uses this bed in her outdoor kennel, and it’s worked great. She loves it! We have tried putting normal dog beds in there with her, and she immediately chews everything else up. She has never even tried to chew this bed. She’s on this bed when we leave in the morning, and still on it when we get home later that day. It’s even usuable in the rain or right after a rain, because the water pretty much flows through the tough mesh fabric. The only thing that eventually wears holes in the fabric is if there’s sharp rocks that rub against the underside. We usually have to replace the cover once a year because of that reason, and then the entire bed maybe every 2+ years, because eventually the screws that hold the frame together start to rust and loosen up. But, the bed is outside all the time and used every day, so it would last much longer if used in a covered area or used inside. Great bed!!

These are GREAT pet beds! – We have one for each of our two Labradors and they just love ‘em! BTW, there IS a subtle trick to assembling them; i.e., you MUST keep ALL bolts loose right up to the final one that connects the second of the two spreader bars to the leg frames. When you’re ready to insert the last bolt, situate the bed so that only three legs touch the floor and, then, LEFT THAT LAST LEG UP ABOUT SIX INCHES – JUST ENOUGH TO RELIEVE THE STRESS IN THE COOLAROO FABRIC!!! Then wiggle that LAST bolt through the leg frame into the crossbar and tighten it JUST enough to hold the entire assembly together. FINALLY, using a couple of phone books or someone’s “spare foot”, keep the corner diagonal to the one with the last bolt you just “wiggled” into place DOWN ON THE FLOOR and s.t.r.e.t.c.h. the cover taut by forcing the LAST LEG DOWN onto the floor and into proper alignment with the other three legs! … NOW! – TIGHTEN ALL THE BOLTS! … Simple, huh?

We used this product for a newborn kitten we rescued. It was recommended to us by a cat rescue league and we found it much better than blankets alone. Please pay close attention to the wattage instructions for heating it up, consider the animal’s age and size and even though it already comes with a flannel cover, PLEASE put a blanket on top of it before putting the animal on it. We loved it and it really helped keep the kitten warm.

This item is high tech and low tech at the same time. It is no miracle product but it’s useful. Give your kitty, or your feet, or that place that aches, a gentle treat: heat up the Snugglesafe in the microwave, wrap it in soft things, and put it where it’s needed. Like contents of a Thermos, it doesn’t stay very warm for very long, but it stays warmer than its surroundings for hours.

I heated mine in a 25-year-old microwave for 7 minutes this morning. It has been 8 hours, and is still 6 degrees F (3.3d C) warmer than surfaces a few inches from it. That can make all the difference between “brr-r-r-r” and “Oh, not too bad today.”

SnuggleSafe Microwave Heat Pad My skinny short-haired Chihuahua (13 yrs. old today) LOVES the Snuggle Safe Microwave Heat Pad. I put it in her bed under a thin feather pillow (Heat pad is hard so it needs a little padding on top. The heat still comes through just fine. On a cold night when I put it in her bed she makes a little groaning happy noise – the human equivalent would be ahhhhh!!! She has a thin fur coat and is very happy to have it. I cover her with a baby blanket and she’s in heaven, stays warm all night. Worth every penny!

Fantastic, Orthopedic Pet Bed – Great for the Price!

I am really thrilled with this pet bed, as I think it is a bargain for the price. I have a pug who is 6 or 7 years old, has some arthritis, and enjoys sitting in the sun or in front of the fire. It took some getting used to, but she seems to really like it.

Here are a few things I love about this bed, and reasons why I think it is surprising that it costs so little:

-It is a decent size, and perfect for my pugs. Even my (very large) cats can fit in it.
-The mattress/cushion is a space foam/Tempurpedic-like/egg crate material that seems really comfortable, especially for older pets or pets with orthopedic problems.
-The cover is soft and removable for washing.
-There is an easy plug, a little pin that inserts close to the bed with a long cord going to the wall or power strip. In other words, I can plug this into the wall and just use the quick plug to unplug it since it’s close to the bed. No need to pull it out from the wall each time.
-The heater works, but doesn’t get hot to the touch. It works with your pet’s body warmth to keep them warm and comfortable.
-The price is great compared to other types of pet beds I’ve seen for the same price or even more, and not with as many features.

I should also note a couple of things. First, another reviewer noted that the instructions said that you can’t keep the bed plugged in all the time, but I didn’t read that in my instructions. I use the quick plug, as noted above, but I didn’t see that it said to unplug it after a certain amount of time. Second, I also want to note that Amazon has this the cheapest. I found this originally on a pet supply site, and it was more expensive there. Plus, you get free shipping with Amazon.

Does what we hoped it would do

We got this bed because we like to turn the furnace off during the day and also keep it pretty low during the night to save money, but didn’t want our two cats to be too cold. It seems to work just as we hoped it would. Our cats love it and spend an awful lot of time in it. We got the “small” bed and as you can (I hope) see in the photo I uploaded, it’s large enough for our two medium-sized cats to fit in it together. Our black cat spends most of his time in this bed, while the grey cat seems to only get in it when it’s colder in the house. But at least she knows where to go when she’s cold now. We’ve only had it for a month so I can’t speak to its durability, but so far it’s worked just fine.

WHAT A DEAL!

This is a great little pet bed! I have a hairless dog who tends to get a bit…well, VERY chilly in the winter. I have seen these beds before, but they seemed a little pricey ($50-60). Finally, I looked up burrow beds on Amazon, and here it was!

When the bed arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality. The outside is made of a thick, almost upholstry-type fabric, and it is lined with faux-lambswool. The bed part is so cushy and inviting, I couldn’t help but stick my head in there! The cover is stiff enough to provide an envelope for your pet to crawl into, but it folds around them nicely, like a thick blankie.

It is machine washable, a definate plus! The color is similar to the picture: kind of a cadet blue with a subtle stripe pattern, and the inside is cream colored. My pup had NO reservations about heading in there! I tossed a toy in it and she ran right in! She’s in there as I type this, poking her nose out every so often to say “THANKS MOM!”

A great buy for chilly pets–now if they could only make one in MY size!

I have a mini dachshund (11 pounds) and 3 cats. I have found all of them using this bed. The cats don’t seem to burrow, but of course, any dachshund lover KNOWS that their baby will burrow. So, I bought this primarily for my dachshund. GREAT choice! She is able to cover herself to the degree she wishes, from nothing to complete coverage.

The zipper inside the “envelope” makes it super easy to wash the cover. The padding within the cover is self-contained as a round pillow. I saw another review where they said that there was hardly any padding. This is definitely not the case with ours. It has plenty of padding.

Apart from keeping my baby warm, this bed serves a variety of functions.

Great car seat: it keeps her warm, and if she’s not feeling cold, elevates her enough to see out the windows without standing up.

Visiting other homes: if placed on the floor in proximity to me, she will immediately go to the bed and snuggle contently for most of the visit.

Great way to keep the hair off the floor and furniture! For whatever reason, the cats like to sit on a perch, so when I put this on the couch, the cats sit on it instead of the couch. This is a wonderful thing, if you have cats that shed and/or visitors with allergies. Instead of spending hours trying to get rid of the hair, I can just pick up the bed and remove to another room.

For a mini dachshund or other burrower, I would give this 10 stars if I could! Love it! I’ve had the bed for over 2 months now, and my dachshund loves it more than ever. If she can’t be in my lap, this is definitely where you’ll find her. This would make a great gift to the dachshund lover in your life.

Handsome dog bed

My dogs love this bed, as no matter which way they face, the bolster-like edge is a comfy pillow.

The charcoal is a gorgeous color. I have one on either side of my husband’s fancy dlp 55″ Toshiba, and they go really well together. tee hee.

It is washable, however, you have to run it through the dryer twice to get the inner pad dry. I have four of these – two white and two charcoal – and they are practical, comfortable, and attractive dog “beds” without looking like a dog beds.

I picked a size that would work in their crates and on the floor so I have a 2 for 1.

I highly recommend these beds and I got great prices and service from Revival Pet Heath.

A great little nap mat for Fido

My dogs love these mats! They are soft, plush “fur”, so they’re quite warm and cozy, plus the padded, rolled edge makes for a nice pillow.

I especially like them because they are easily machine washed and dried. The cinnamon color blends nicely with my oak hardwood floors, too, so they aren’t so obvious.

These really are nap mats, or great crate pads, rather than beds, though. The center portion is just the thickness of the material; there is no real padding there. If you have an older dog in need of cushioning or one that likes to sink into a well-stuffed bed, this isn’t for you.

We just love these beds…they are soft enough for our 14 year olds especially with their old tired achey bones. They are the same color as their fur a big plus so they don’t look so messy even after a month of not being washed. And they wash up beautifully. It’s our second order of these wonderful beds!!!

I’ve had two of these beds for over three years and the dogs love them. These are four season beds with the addition of a blanket in the winter months (one of the dogs likes the blanket, the other pulls it off). The folks at the kennel always mention that people bring dogs beds in with their dogs all the time and these are the only ones that dogs actually use when they are here. The beds stay outside year round (temps from 110 in the summer to 25 in the winter — dogs spend some days and every night in the house) and all I’ve had to do is replace the covers on both of them (about $16 each after three years) and the occasional tightening of a couple of screws. Great product.
