Great Crate!

I have this crate only larger 42inches for my border collie mix. We decided it was a little too big for her…although I am sure she doesn’t mind Her large crate is going to our Husky for when she gets bigger, and our border collie will be getting this size crate. She absolutely loves it! It is her own bedroom. We don’t crate her during the day but we do crate her while we sleep. I actually tried letting her sleep out of her crate and she kept moving around the room. Once she gets into her crate she pretty much passes out and falls asleep because she knows it means sleep time. The crate also folds down nicely and fits into our car without any problems. We just fold down the back seats and put our dog’s bed on top and we are good to go! I would highly reccomend this crate to anyone. Having two different enterances is great! Our dog prefers the gate on the side. She always goes in without a problem! Also, I would highly recomend putting a bed inside during the winter and maybe a piece of carpet that covers the inside floor during the summer. This helps take away the noise of thier nails scratching on the plastic. Plus…they feel more comfortable.

Does good job

I like many have read the poor reviews and had to think out whether the judgment of these dissappointed buyers was valid. It appeared to me that all of the complaints were oriented towards the interface involved in programing the thing and such.

I bought it. Amazon shipped it incredibly fast. It only works on batteries (3 D’s) That’s really a plus since it provides maximum flexiblity on placement and it’s not tied to commercial power, so pwr outages don’t mean that cat goes hungry!

I’ll say this. The programming is counter-intuitive and you have to work at figuring out what they want you to do. You must read the instructions and you’d better keep for when the batteries die, because I read the settings go with the juice.

I set it up to work in under 20 minutes. Feeds my cat twice a day without a hitch now in two weeks. You adjust the volume and how many feedings you want. Common sense is only dry kibble will really work best with this setup. I can see how soft kibble might gum up the works, due to the physics of gravity. The food sits in the bottle, upended over a paddle wheel that slowly rotates to allow kibble to flow. So soft food would probably tend to clump up in there.

I’m very pleased so far. It has solved a feeding problem for me and I am most satisfied. If the maker could install a watch battery backup thing to hold the settings between D battery changes that would be great and the simplicity of the setup could be better, BUT If that added too much money to the cost, it probably wouldn’t sell.

UPDATE: a little over two months of use and I’m really a big fan now. This thing works well. The main thing is… my fat cat is losing weight and she eats twice a day, same time, everyday, thus perfect routine for her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to any cat owner that would like routine for their pet’s eating or has a pet with a weight problem.

Fantastic Fountain; not only do my four(4) cats love it, the water stays cleaner and fresher twice as long as the earlier model without the built-in reservoir. As for some of the other reviews that state the reservoir is difficult to put in when filled, I totALLY DISAGREE!! The newer 6-sectioned filters are the key to the fresher cleaner water and are a MUST BUY ITEM!!!! Thanks from my kitties.

Cool Idea

We have two large pet beds for my 75 lb. dalmation and 120 lb. lab. My dogs love them! They stay fairly clean because the dirt/dust sifts right through the loose weave in the fabric which also allows the air to circulate and the dogs stay cooler. I keep them on my carport and when it rains and the water runs in on the concrete floor, the raised bed and dogs stay dry and comfortable. I have just adopted a new stray mother dog and plan to keep her and one of her pups. I ordered 2 additional Coolaroos for them today. A great product – wish I’d thought of it first!

Azodyl Price and Effect

I did a lot of research on prices for Azodyl. My 11 year old lab retriever was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure and her vet prescribed Azodyl (3x a day). At the vet’s price of $60 for 60 caps, I researched the Internet. Every pet supply website had fairly decent pricing but shipping ranged from $15-$20. I purchased two 60 cap for $51.78 plus 4.95 shipping from discountpetsupplies via Amazon. They were packed with cold packs and were cool when they arrived in just a few days. I definitely will buy from this seller again! Also, my lab is doing very well – more active and playful than she has been in months. She is also on Science Diet prescription k/d dog food.

High Quality Seat Protector

I have two mastiff mixes and a brand new car. This seat cover works. It’s got several nifty little features that make it great. It’s got adjustable hardware straps with durable metal connectors to fit around whatever size head rests your seat may have. It’s got these great little plastic gizmos that fit into the seat crack to anchor the thing so it doesn’t gather up and lays flat. It’s got some elastic straps that fit around the bottom of the seat on each side to further stabilize it so the dogs don’t dismantle it. And more I’m not mentioning. Just all in all a high-quality product. Now if I could only find something to keep the slobber off the windows…
