The heater plugs in to any standard household outlet and starts working instantly. Dual thermostats regulate temperature using only 4 watts for minimal power consumption. With Fifi lying on the thermostatically controlled bed, the pet can bask in the perfect comfort of 102 degrees; maintaining an ideal body temperature for any pet. Another thermostat setting keeps the heater 12 to 15 degrees above ambient air temperature when not in use; keeping the warmth at the ready should Fido decide that it’s nap time.

Great Product!

This product is PERFECT for your pet on those chilly nights. We have 2 boxers that sleep in separate beds and they used to sleep in tight little balls but now they lie sprawled out from one end of the beds to the other!

The warmer doesn’t get too hot (which is good) so you have to place it under a slender piece of material or it doesn’t work very well. For example, one of our beds is a normal egg shell with a fabric cover and we have the warmer inside of a pillowcase and zipped up between the fabric and egg shell and it works great. On the other bed, it has a thick pillow as a base so we had to put the warmer on top of the pillow and then cover it with a blanket; otherwise, with the warmer under the pillow the top of the pillow never got warm. The key thing to remember is that these are WARMERS so they don’t feel warm enough to a person but they get PLENTY warm for a pet.

In the winter, we keep our outside lab dog (a stray who adopted us) in our garage where it is a little warmer. I purchased the K&H Lectro Kennel pad with fleece cover and he loves it. I keep it between 2 cabinets so no one will step on it. In really cold weather (single digit) he curls up on it, but in mildly cold weather he sprawls on it as if he is sunning himself. He is a great dog with a little arthritis, so this really helps him.

We used this product for a newborn kitten we rescued. It was recommended to us by a cat rescue league and we found it much better than blankets alone. Please pay close attention to the wattage instructions for heating it up, consider the animal’s age and size and even though it already comes with a flannel cover, PLEASE put a blanket on top of it before putting the animal on it. We loved it and it really helped keep the kitten warm.

I love these steps. They help so much with my aging little cat. She’s not as young as she use to be, and these help her get up to her favorite high ledges. I love them and so does my cat. I am really thrilled with this pet bed, as I think it is a bargain for the price. I have a pug who is 6 or 7 years old, has some arthritis, and enjoys sitting in the sun or in front of the fire. It took some getting used to, but she seems to really like it.
