WHAT A DEAL!

This is a great little pet bed! I have a hairless dog who tends to get a bit…well, VERY chilly in the winter. I have seen these beds before, but they seemed a little pricey ($50-60). Finally, I looked up burrow beds on Amazon, and here it was!
When the bed arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality. The outside is made of a thick, almost upholstry-type fabric, and it is lined with faux-lambswool. The bed part is so cushy and inviting, I couldn’t help but stick my head in there! The cover is stiff enough to provide an envelope for your pet to crawl into, but it folds around them nicely, like a thick blankie.
It is machine washable, a definate plus! The color is similar to the picture: kind of a cadet blue with a subtle stripe pattern, and the inside is cream colored. My pup had NO reservations about heading in there! I tossed a toy in it and she ran right in! She’s in there as I type this, poking her nose out every so often to say “THANKS MOM!”
A great buy for chilly pets–now if they could only make one in MY size!

I have a mini dachshund (11 pounds) and 3 cats. I have found all of them using this bed. The cats don’t seem to burrow, but of course, any dachshund lover KNOWS that their baby will burrow. So, I bought this primarily for my dachshund. GREAT choice! She is able to cover herself to the degree she wishes, from nothing to complete coverage.
The zipper inside the “envelope” makes it super easy to wash the cover. The padding within the cover is self-contained as a round pillow. I saw another review where they said that there was hardly any padding. This is definitely not the case with ours. It has plenty of padding.
Apart from keeping my baby warm, this bed serves a variety of functions.
Great car seat: it keeps her warm, and if she’s not feeling cold, elevates her enough to see out the windows without standing up.
Visiting other homes: if placed on the floor in proximity to me, she will immediately go to the bed and snuggle contently for most of the visit.
Great way to keep the hair off the floor and furniture! For whatever reason, the cats like to sit on a perch, so when I put this on the couch, the cats sit on it instead of the couch. This is a wonderful thing, if you have cats that shed and/or visitors with allergies. Instead of spending hours trying to get rid of the hair, I can just pick up the bed and remove to another room.
For a mini dachshund or other burrower, I would give this 10 stars if I could! Love it! I’ve had the bed for over 2 months now, and my dachshund loves it more than ever. If she can’t be in my lap, this is definitely where you’ll find her. This would make a great gift to the dachshund lover in your life.
