Purchased the Puppia soft dog harness for my Yorkie-Poo. The Yorkie breed has chronic problems with using a regular collar due to larynx problems….something to do with the breed I was told.
The harness (medium sized) fit well, and my dog, Duffy, took to it very well. Very comfortable for her and I no longer have to worry about hurting her with a regular collar.
Duffy is a 12 pound, small dog, and I got the medium sized harness.I was afraid the small would be too tight. Now, she only wears the harness when we go out for walks, and doesn’t have to have a collar on all the time.
The ONLY issue I have is that it’s a little difficult at first to figure out how to put it on her. It would seem that the proper way would be to have the leash hook at the top, behind her head, which is how I have it positioned. But, looking at the picture of the harness (not hooked up and on a dog) it would seem that I have it on upside down. I tried to put it on as the picture shows, but then the leash is hooked below her neck, and looks very uncomfortable, and when she pulls it’s like I am twisting her almost over. A little strange to be honest. Despite that, it does work adequately as I have it on her, and does the job I wanted it to do.
Yeah, I’d recommend it.

Bought medium size pink Harness for my 7 month old French bulldog. It’s a little challenging to put on her, since she loves to chew on the plastic buckle. Two months of use and the buckle is slightly cracked (due to the chewing), but the buckle still holds. Very comfortable on the puppy and she is very happy, once she has it on ! As some have commented, the neck area may be a little tight for bigger dogs, but it works fine on my pup. Not sure though if it will still be comfortable once she reaches adult size. Will update post if things change.

I bought one of these for my pug in May and at that time I gave it a glowing review. but now 5 months later the top stitching on the cloth around the neck that attaches to the mesh has become unraveled and I have had to cut it off. Given this thing has been through some abuse from my pug it still seems pretty sturdy without that piece of cloth keeping the mesh together. I have had no other problems with this harness including the plastic clip. My pug still loves her harness and she will sit nicely when it is time to put it on. I will be ordereing another one, this time in a large bc she is only 7 months old and I expect her to grow a tiny bit more. It fits nice and snug and it does not cut into her at all but I just wish they would use a sturdier thread instead of regular ol thin sewing thread to keep this thing together, I mean seriously it is for a dog and regular thread is not gonna hold up. It also could be from me washing it perhaps? I tend to wash it twice a month bc it gets pretty smelly. Another thing I had noticed is that I have seen a few fleas crawling through the mesh. Even though she is on Frontline Plus she does get a flea every once in a while (no product is foolproof) and I just hope that the mesh is not allowing them to hide from the medication and breed.

I have been using these halters for sometime with my dogs, and while I mostly love them – I have recently discovered that a determined dog can back out of the harnesses (I think that may be true with any harness) So make sure you size this right!
P.S. The size charts are aaccurate, make sure to measure your dog properly.

Saw someone using it with thier dog and bought one for my puppy. I had 2 sizes.
It was hard to put on a squirming puppy, and even when she stayed still it was difficult to put on. THe black plastic part that you clip closed is very small as are the rings that you attach the leach to and hard to manage with regular sized hands. THe clasp was hard to open. My puppy managed to get her mouth on the black clasp and bit it and broke it. There went that harness. I also didn’t like the fact that the material rubbed on her fur when she was walked and she ended up with mats under her front legs and chest. Not a good thing.
I bought it becasue she is a Shi Tzu and didn’t want a collar pulling against her wind pipe. I have seen it on dogs on T.V. shows, but those dogs fur was clipped real short. It is not supposed to be left on all the time.
I wouldn’t buy another one once the clasp broke shortly after I bought it.
